A Look at Traffic Exchanges & Rotators


Hi welcome to my latest website - I am using one of the freebie websites to see if they have improved the way in which they deliver adverts, and just to remind myself that places like Lycos are still here.

The contents here will look at traffic exchanges and rotators as a means to generating leads,subscribers and traffic - the main topics of my Blog over at : Leads2U



So what is a Traffic Exchange ? A Traffic Exchange in it's truest form, is an automated type of business networking, where a group of webmasters (here meaning: people that have created personal or business websites) get together and show each other their websites using an automated script (rather than contacting each other personally) The script sends a free visitor to your website in exchange for you looking at someone else's website.

Most traffic exchanges are filled to the brim with people promoting network marketing / MLM opportunities which makes them undesirable to many niche markets (but not all) promoting other types of goods - but that's something for other sites to think about !?! as I am looking here at extracting leads, subscribers and traffic from the cup that is already full!


A Rotator is a Tool you can use in conjunction with a traffic exchange if you are promoting more than one website / program - for example - you might be promoting your Blog, a Squeeze page to get sign ups, and an affiliate program to get a downline on another traffic exchange you belong to.

So, by adding these sites all to one rotator you can promote just the one affiliate URL rather than 3 separate URLs - each site will be "rotated" via a script that rotates page views within traffic exchanges.


Important Notes: 1. do not place traffic exchange banner codes on your websites if you are also using google adsense on them - unless your traffic exchange provider can assure you that it is compliant with googles terms - the safest way to use a traffic exhange is to set it to your home page or bookmark the link and earn credits that way. If you want to invite/refer people to your traffic site use a standard hyperlink.

2. Make sure you know why you want to use a traffic site in the first place! - sound daft but if you go in there just expecting more traffic to come flooding into your site, you maybe disappointed, however if you go in there with a plan you can, quite literally, generate leads very quickly, it depends on what YOU can offer someone using a traffic exchange, as like most networking, sometimes you have to give in order to get, what can you OFFER ?
